Upcoming Workshops
The Moving Voice
In the Spring of 2020
November 16th is postponed due to unforseen circumstances
With Marie-Lynne Sauvé and Chris MacLean
The Moving Voice will support you to:
- Connect with your creative self
- Experience more ease in and with your body and your voice
- Express yourself from the inside out
- Alleviate stress
This experiential workshop will include breath work; gentle, playful movement; and vocal explorations. The morning session will focus on awakening the body and breath to movement and creative expression. In the afternoon, we will guide you in exploring the voice through playful invitations. We will finish the day with a collaboratively written chant/song.
NOTE: This workshop is open to first time participants as well as those who took the first Moving Voice workshop – we will expand on what we did on June 1st.
COST: $120
PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY – Please register with payment BY SEPTEMBER 7.
This evening calls in our highest wisdom, inspiration and courage to step into a more conscious, open-hearted way of life through voice, call and response songs, intent and stillness. Traditional Sanskrit chants are used to help call in the change we wish to see. The indigenous 8th Fire Prophecy is woven in, with a Lakota healing prayer.
This set is similar to our concert at Bhakti In The Woods yoga festival. We have with us 10 year-old Jana on harp solo and singing an inspiring song she wrote, Voice Movement Therapist Marie-Lynne, vocalists and instrumentalists JD and Louis, and Kaia.
